Wanted man, nabbed 23 years after impregnating his 12-yr-old daughter

It was a routine traffic stop at a gas station just outside of Houston, until Montgomery County deputies found the warrant dating back to 1995.
That warrant ended 23 years on the run for 64-year-old Heraclio Gamez-Nava, who was wanted for allegedly getting his 12-year-old daughter pregnant in Nevada, according to KTRK.
Gamez-Nava and his wife, Alicia Vazquez-Carrizales, had been living in Porter, Texas, hiding out from his warrant for continuous sexual assault of a minor younger than 14, officials told the news station.
The couple were pulled over Thursday morning when Montgomery County Constable Precinct 4 deputies noticed a vehicle traveling the wrong way under an overpass, reported KPRC.
When questioned, Vazquez-Carrizales told the deputies that her husband’s name was Rosalez, but they later discovered an ID card hidden in the car that identified Gamez-Nava as the man with the warrant out of Nevada, according to the Conroe Courier.
The deputies also found that Vazquez-Carrizales had been living in the U.S. illegally, with a detainer order on her name from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to She has twice been deported from the U.S., once in 2003 and again in 2014.
She faces a third deportation after being arrested on suspicion of hindering the apprehension and prosecution of a known felon, according to jail records.
Gamez-Nava will be extradited to Nevada as a fugitive from justice. The status of Gamez-Nava’s daughter, 23 years after the continuous abuse she allegedly endured, was not immediately available.

Meet Ruben Enaje: The man who has been nailed to the cross annually for 32 years to re-enact Jesus Christ’s crucifixion

Meet Ruben Enaje: The man who has been nailed to the cross annually for 32 years to?re-enact Jesus Christ?s crucifixion

Ruben Enaje is a Philippine man who has been nailed to a cross every Easter for the past 32 years in a Good Friday re-enactment of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion who says he no longer feels any pain from his wounds.

The 58 year old actor again portrayed Christ on Friday in the traditional religious rite in Cutud village, about 76 km (47 miles) from the capital Manila. “In the past, I went home injured and limping, but this year I feel so great,” Enaje said after the ritual held under a scorching sun.

He said he believed his strong Catholic faith helped him avoid pain.  “I feel like he is telling me ‘go ahead, keep it up’,” he said, referring to God. Easter is a festival marking the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ.

About 80 percent of the 105 million people in the Philippines, a former Spanish colony, are Catholic. Enaje said he felt strong enough to perform in two or three more crucifixions, until he turns 60.  Enaje was among three devotees nailed to wooden crosses in the village on Friday, including a woman taking part for the seventh time.

Actors wearing Roman soldier costumes attached the devotees to crosses by hammering two-inch nails soaked in alcohol through their hands and feet and hoisted them up in a field packed with domestic and foreign tourists.

The Catholic Church in the Philippines tolerates the ritual but says it does not support such gory displays of devotion, describing them as a “misinterpretation of faith”. Many Catholics in the Philippines perform religious acts of penance during the Holy Week at Easter as a form of worship and supplication. Some believe penance cleanses sins, cures illnesses and even leads to wishes coming true.

Graphic: Landlady slices tenants with razor blade over Easter chicken’s faeces

A 12-year-old boy and his 38-year-old mother have been attacked attacked by their landlady, Mrs. Atalekor, with a razor blade at their Ufuoma community residence, Ughelli, Delta State over the droppings of a chicken to be used for the Easter celebration.
The allegation by the victims, Mrs. Onobrakpeya and her son, Emuobonuvie Onobrakpeya, is coming just as the landlady’s husband, Mr. Prosper Atalekor, told Vanguard that it was his 10-year-old son that slashed the face and neck of the victims in defense of his mother, who was being beaten by the Onobrakpeyas.
It was gathered that trouble between both families started when a chicken, bought by Efe Onobrakpeya, husband to the woman, soiled the veranda of the Atalekors, leading to a verbal confrontation which was followed by a free-for-all by the women.
Efe, who confirmed the attack on his wife and son while speaking to journalists in Ughelli, lamented that the landlady had yet to be arrested after inflicting life-threatening injuries on members of his family.
He said, “I reported the matter to the ‘B’ Division, Ughelli, and the Divisional Police Officer gave me two policemen to arrest the woman, who went into hiding after the incident. The policemen insisted I give them money before they do anything.” .
However, the suspect’s husband said: “The incident has been a recurring issue as the woman feels she is bigger in size than my wife and always pounced on her whenever they clash.
When this recent incident happened, she and her son attacked my wife and children, with the woman beating my wife and pulling her hair, her son was also hitting my wife with a plank.
It was my 10-year-old son in trying to defend his mother that picked a razor blade and used it to cut the woman and the boy. My wife, too, was taken to the hospital as she sustained injuries.“

Another senator held hostage by irate protesters

The senator representing Gombe South, Joshua Lidani, is currently being held hostage by protesters in his constituency.
A live Facebook update by an activist, Ibrahim Wala, monitored on Monday said Mr. Lidani paid an unscheduled visit to Talasse town, the headquarters of Balanga LGA to meet with political associates.
However, one of the protesters who spoke on phone said Mr. Lidani, a former deputy governor, is currently hiding inside the residence of the traditional ruler of the town.
He said the protesters are asking the senator to come out and “answer some of their questions.” He said the grouse of the protesters with Mr. Lidani is that “he refused to visit Talasse since his election despite several appeals.”
He also said the senator refused to answer or return calls from the people of his constituency “only for him to sneak in today.” He said the police were invited to the scene but they had to retreat to a distance to avoid confrontation with the large crowd.
“Apart from those at the emir’s palace, several youth groups have also blocked all other roads the senator may seek to sneak out, not just in Talasse here, but other villages along the road as well,” he said.
This comes two days after Garba Julde, member representing Bali/Gassol federal constituency of Taraba in the house of representatives, was attacked. The constituents on Saturday reportedly hurled stones at the lawmaker for allegedly abandoning them.

''Looters list not complete without the names of Buhari, Osinbajo, Amaechi, Fashola, Tinubu, Lai Mohammed, others in it'' FFK

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has reacted to the inclusion of his name in the looters list released by Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, yesterday April 1st.

FFK in a statement released today, says no looters list will be complete without the names of President Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Lagos state governor Babatunde Fashola, former Rivers state governor Rotimi Amaechi, ex-Ekiti state governor Kayoe Fayemi, Bola Tinubu and others, in it. Read his statement below
It has been brought to my attention that my name was placed in what the Federal Government of Nigeria describes as its “looters list”.
I wish to make it abundatly clear that this is nonsensical and utterly shameful and I hereby reiterate the fact that I am totally innocent of any wrongdoing.
The fact of the matter is that no “looters list” is complete without the names of Muhammadu Buhari, Yemi Osinbajo, Rotimi Ameachi, Tunde Fashola, Bola Tinubu, Lai Mohammed, Adamu Abdullahi, Dambazau, Kayode Fayemi, Babachir Lawal, Maina, Maikanto Baru, Burutai, all APC Governors and other key members of the Buhari administration and the APC.
The Federal Government claims thay I “looted” 800,000,000 naira from government coffers. This is false.
I did not receive and neither was I ever given one kobo by any government official, government agency or govermment parastatal during President Goodluck Jonathan’s tenure.
The money that I received was given to me by the Director of Finance of the Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Mrs. Esther Nenadi Usman, before the election in 2015 and it was specifically for the conduct of the Presidential election.
I was Director of Media and Publicity of the Campaign Organisation and it was used specifically and solely for the running and conducting of the media and publicity aspect of the election.
Mrs. Usman, who was Minister of Finance during the Obasanjo government, was neither a member of the Jonathan government and neither did she manage, handle or touch any government funds in her capacity as Director of Finance of the Jonathan campaign.
The money she made available to me came from a private company account which was used to house contributions made to the Jonathan campaign by party supporters after a series of fundraising event.
These were private funds and not public funds and neither can anyone expect us to have run an election in 2015 without any money. You do not run election campaigns with sand but with money.
It is common knowledge that the Buhari campaign in 2015 was funded by moneys that can be traced directly to the state governments of Rivers state, Lagos state, Kano state, Ogun state and a number of other key APC states yet not one of those involved or that governed any of those states at the time have been questioned, arrested or prosecuted by the EFCC or the Federal Government.
It is also comon knowledge that President Buhari himself was offered and received several benefits and received money from the office of the former National Security Advisor, Col. Sambo Dasuki, yet nothing has been done about this.
From the foregoing it is clear that the Buhari administration’s so-called war against corruption is selective and punitive and it is nothing but a vicious media trial and politically-motivated witchunt.
It is nothing but a squalid and mafia-like attempt to muscle, discredit, demonise and sillence key members of the opposition. It is slanderous, malicious and unjust.
If not for the fact that the Buhari administration is an irresponsible, weak, desperate and corrupt government that has no confidence in itself and no sense of decency how can they declare people that have not been convicted by any court of law as “looters”.
Not only is this a violation of the constitutional provision that says that an accused person is deemed innocent until they are proved guilty by a duly constituted court of law but it is also highly prejudicial to the criminal cases that they are or may be facing.
Apart from that it is a crude and sordid attempt to intimidate the judges and influence the outcome of the cases which are before them and also to compel them to give the judgement that the government wants. This is not only unacceptable but it is also shameful.
It is a clear violation of the concept of separation of powers which gives the judiciary alone the power to determine the guilt or otherwise of an accused person.
It is trite law that only a court of law can declare a man guilty or declare him a thief or a looter and not Buhari and his government.
How can anyone get a fair trial in a country when the government has already pronounced them guilty before the world?
You cannot be the investigator, accuser, prosecutor and judge in your own case. This is a basic principle of criminal and constitutional law which appears to have been lost on President Buhari and his cohorts.
I don’t blame him: I blame Vice President Osinbajo who, as a Professor of Law and a learned SAN, should know better and who I am reliably informed is the co-ordinator of all these politically-motivated, baseless and malicious corruption cases which are being conducted against opposition members by the EFCC.
He is the one that has been saddled with the shameless responsibility of manipulating the prosecutors, emboldening false witnesses, attempting to pressure the judges and attempting to send innocent men and women who are members of the opposition to jail.
One day, whether he believes it or not, there will be a reckoning for his wickedness just as there will be one for Buhari and his entire government. God will see to that and He will judge and punish them.
Meanwhile I reject the false label of “looter” and I hereby return it to sender.
I also deny all the charges that have been levelled against me by the EFCC, I hereby restate my innocence and I shall continue to vigorously defend myself and my good family name in the court of law.
I have no doubt that in the end my innocence will speak for me, God will vindicate me and He will expose my accusers for the heartless monsters that they really are.

FG probes Cambridge Analytical, PDP’s alleged hacking into Buhari’s medical records

The FG has commenced investigation into the recent revelation that ahead of the 2015 general elections, a Nigerian billionaire and supporter of former President Jonathan paid £2m to Cambridge Analytica to hack into the medical records of President Buhari, then candidate of APC.
According to Punchng, the government is also probing the report that suggested that the consulting firm that combines data mining, brokerage and analysis with strategic communication for electoral process manipulated Nigeria’s 2007 elections by organising campaigns to weaken the chances of opposition parties.
A Presidency official said: “The government of Nigeria is scrutinising the reports of the data mining firm Cambridge Analytica, which swiped the data of more than 50 million Facebook users to sway elections in many countries including Nigeria, where it waged a campaign to perpetuate discord and hack into personal records of the then leading opposition candidate, Muhammadu Buhari.”
He said the government had set up what he called an in-house committee to investigate whether the firm’s work for the then ruling party, the PDP, in 2007 and 2015 general election campaigns broke the laws of the country or infringed on the rights of other parties and their candidates.
“Depending on the outcome, this may lead to the appointment of a special investigator and possibly, criminal prosecutions by the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN),” the Presidency official added.

Anyone complaining of hunger should go and work – Presidency

Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, has asked those complaining of hunger to “go and work”.
In an interview with Ben TV, Shehu said the current administration has invested in people and also infrastructure. “Everyone complaining of hunger should go and work.
And you know that this is the only government that has introduced social investment schemes, we pay out now for the poorest of the poor, the least they will get is N5, 000 and a lot of these jobs that are been created are from loans with little or no interest from the central bank, Bank of industry, Banks of Agriculture, Development Bank  and the rest,” he said.
“So, there is a lot going for people who really want to go out there to work especially in agriculture.” Shehu said since President Muhammadu Buhari took office in 2015, he has devoted not less than 30% of the country’s annual appropriation to infrastructure.
The spokesman said the foundation for the country’s growth cannot be laid without proper infrastructure in place. “The records are there for everyone to see that no government, no past administration in Nigeria has invested as much as we have done or let me say like we are currently doing in infrastructure development,” he said.
“From day one when he took power, the president gave a target of not less than 30% of annual appropriation devoted to infrastructure development. Without infrastructure, we can not lay the foundation for growth.
When this administration came to power, between 95 and 96% of public expenditure was going into overhead cost leaving only about 5 or 6% for infrastructure. The allocation of 30% under this administration has led to tremendous improvement in the provision of infrastructure so far in the country.
Now there is a lot of work going on, building new rail lines and the rehabilitation of the old rail system networks, roads are been done all across the country, you only need to drive around to see for yourself.”

Mark Zuckerberg fires back at Tim Cook’s criticism of Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg fires back at Tim Cook?s criticism of Facebook

Mark Zuckerberg has publicly responded to Apple CEO Tim Cook's harsh criticism about the way Facebook handles the private information of its users. He called Cook's argument "extremely glib".

The tiff between two of the most powerful men in Silicon Valley started last week when Cook was asked what he would do if he were Zuckerberg in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal. He responded saying "I wouldn't be in this situation."

The Apple CEO went on to denounce social media platforms for monetizing users and their corresponding private data. His larger point was that social media services are free, but in order to remain that way, the companies must sell advertising based on some user information and of course, Zuckerberg defended this practice.

"You know, I find that argument, that if you’re not paying that somehow we can’t care about you, to be extremely glib," Zuckerberg said in a recent Ezra Klein Show podcast published by Vox.  "And not at all aligned with the truth," Zuckerberg added. "The reality here is that if you want to build a service that helps connect everyone in the world, then there are a lot of people who can’t afford to pay. And therefore, as with a lot of media, having an advertising-supported model is the only rational model that can support building this service to reach people."

What's perhaps most shocking in this feud between two of the world's richest people is that Zuckerberg dragged another billionaire into the conversation. "I thought Jeff Bezos had an excellent saying on this in one of his Kindle launches a number of years back," Zuckerberg said in the Ezra Klein interview.

"He said, 'There are companies that work hard to charge you more, and there are companies that work hard to charge you less.' And at Facebook, we are squarely in the camp of the companies that work hard to charge you less and provide a free service that everyone can use."  The 33-year-old billionaire finished his thought by saying that he thought it was absurd to think that charging customers money was the best way to show you have their interest in mind.  "To the contrary, I think it’s important that we don’t all get Stockholm Syndrome and let the companies that work hard to charge you more convince you that they actually care more about you," he said. "Because that sounds ridiculous to me."  As for who has the last laugh, that appears to be pretty heavily favoring Mr. Cook at the moment. Facebook lost more than $40 billion in market value in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica user privacy controversy.

Chika Ike writes about how she never liked her body growing up and how she feels about it now

Actress and entrepreneur, Chika Ike took to her Instagram page to narrate how she was constantly bullied while growing up because of her body and height. Read her story below...
I never liked my body growing up and was constantly bullied about it. I was so skinny and was the tallest in my class. I never looked forward to morning assembly because I'll have to stand at the back of the class or class presentations to talk about “your best friend “ because I’ll be described as the thin girl.
I can remember eating all sorts to things to gain weight but nothing worked, I really craved to have some flesh on me. I was called all sorts of names like Lepa, thin girl and Agric chicken because I was so skinny and tall.  So I started modeling as soon as I graduated from secondary school because modeling agents thought I had "the look”. T
oday the reverse is the case, I'm on all sorts of diet programs and exercising every other day to keep the weight I’ve always wanted in check, I feel bad after licking ice cream or eating anything with high-calorie content because ill have to suffer in the gym.
Growing up slim wasn't cool now its cool. The truth is you have to constantly love you, you can't be cool to everyone, the world will always have a standard of what you should be, who you should be and how you should live your life. If you want to make changes or improvements let it not be because of pressure or people’s unconscious bias about you.Do it for you.
You should hold your pen and draw your life plan... Do you... Mind your business.....Run your race. Do not let anyone define you or rush you with their timeline. We all have different stories, journeys, and different clocks. You are you and that is  your power!

Man tells his 21 year old girlfriend to rape his 11year old austistic son because he feared him being gay

Man tells his 21 year old girlfriend to rape his 11year old austistic son because he feared him being gay

Read the report from AlabamaNews below...
A father in Huntsville, Alabama is behind bars today for having his girlfriend rape and sodomize his 11-year-old autistic son. ?????????
On Thanksgiving in 2016, 29-year-old Sean Cole walked in on his son in what prosecutors say he claimed was a “compromising position with another boy” and became furious with fears that his son might be gay.  To “straighten him out," he influenced his 21-year-old girlfriend, Khadeijah Moore to have sex with his son. ?????????
Moore raped and sodomized the poor little boy, and forced him to perform sexual acts on her.  When Cole’s son went back home to his mom’s after the holiday, he started asking questions about sexual intercourse, and eventually broke down and told his mother what happened at his father’s house.  She immediately went to police.
Cole and Moore were charged with rape, sodomy, and the sexual abuse of a child under 12-years-old.  A warrant has been issued for Moore’s arrest and she is officially a fugitive at this point after not showing up to trial.  Both face up to life in prison, as sentencing will convene on May 24th for Cole, and Moore’s fate will be decided when they find her. ?????????

Governor Fayose accuses President Buhari of rewarding looters who decamped from PDP

Governor Fayose accuses President Buhari of rewarding looters who decamped from PDP

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose says President Buhari is presiding over the most corrupt government in Nigeria’s history. Fayose said this in a statement issued on Monday by Lere Olayinka, his special assistant on public communications and new media.

He alleged that Buhari’s fight against corruption is selective as it “protects and rewards” looters who decamped from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said the first looters list released by the government was politically motivated while the second was an afterthought “to cover the shame” of the government because Nigerians questioned the first.

“With the Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index, saying that corruption has become more endemic in Nigeria than it was in the last 16 years, with the country moving 12 places below its rating, a honourable government would have stopped using fight against corruption as its major achievement and releasing names of people that are still under trial as looters just to cover up its failure,” the statement read.
“Nigerians have seen through their deceit and will no longer buy that fake image of integrity they are trying to sell.  “For any lists of alleged looters to be credible, the President, who is protecting looters should be number one while those looters in his government should follow.  “His nomination form was bought with proceeds of corruption and those who bought the form and financed his election were paid back with the return of all their seized properties, ministerial appointments and even disappearance of prosecution witnesses in EFCC cases.  Fayoser accused Buhari of his complicity in “fanning the flames of corruption” by citing specific cases which according to him are still “unresolved.”

The statement read: “A government that reinstated and promoted Abdullahi Maina, who was declared wanted for corrupt practices by the International Police Organisation, (INTERPOL) and dismissed in 2013 for alleged N2.1 billion pension fraud and used APC broom to sweep the $25 billion contracts scam in the NNPC under the carpet is nothing but a government of plunderers and that is the clear definition of Buhari’s government.  “It was in this same government that the minister of health, Isaac Adewole suspended the National Health Insurance Scheme Executive Secretary, Professor Usman Yusuf for alleged corruption and the President recalled him even without the knowledge of the minister.  “Up till today, nothing has happened to the probe panel on the alleged N500 million bribery said to have been paid to the President’s Chief of Staff (COS), Abba Kyari by officials of MTN to influence government to discontinue its heavy stance on the $5 billion fine imposed on the company.

“Therefore, no matter how hard they try now, they can no longer hoodwink Nigerians with their deceit of fight against corruption. Even APC Senator, Shehu Sani once said that the President uses insecticide to fight corruption involving his perceived political opponents, but use deodorant when it comes it affects his own men.”
