Alleged corruption: ''Lying is the most consistent achievement of Professor Osinbajo as Vice President'' Reno Omokri

Alleged corruption:

Former president Jonathan has called on the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, to call to order one of his pastors and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, over the claims made by Osinbajo against his administration yesterday March 19th.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday alleged that the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan “essentially shared” N150 billion two weeks to the 2015 polls. Read here.

In a statement released on his Facebook page, former media aide to ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, said Osinbajo's claims are false and baseless.

According to Reno, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo continues to make these discredited comments because he is a man promoted above his competency. Reno said it is sad that the Vice President has again surrendered his lips to satan to be used to spread slander and lies.
Read the statement below

Again, my attention has been drawn to rehashed lies in the media by the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, against the person of former President Jonathan.
Speaking at the 7th Presidential Quarterly Business Forum for private sector stakeholders at the State House conference centre, the Vice President said as follows;
"We saw from the presentation of the Minister of Finance that N14 billion was spent on agriculture in 2014, transportation got N15 billion, while infrastructure in three years got N153 billion, and yet in two weeks before the elections, N150 billion was shared.
“So if your total infrastructure spending is N153 billion and you can share N150 billion, that is completely incredible. That sort of thing doesn’t happen anywhere else in the world. So, when we are talking about the economy, we must simply understand that, that is the problem.”".
It is sad that the Vice President has again surrendered his lips to satan to be used to spread slander and lies.
Nigerians may recall that lying is the most consistent achievement of Professor Osinbajo’s almost three years as Vice President.
Only on October 20, 2017, Vice President Osinbajo was in Anambra state where he lied that the present administration had paid $2 billion for the second Niger Bridge.
I personally exposed that lie and forced the Presidency to issue a 'clarification'. The money released was 2 billion Naira and it came from the Sovereign Wealth Fund set up by the Jonathan administration which the APC resisted and challenged in court.
Even after Jonathan left office, it is still monies that he left behind that the Buhari administration is using.
It will also be recalled that in February 2016, the Vice President again lied when he claimed that both the Jonathan and Yar'adua governments did not build a single road. This fact was easily disproved when even members of this administration, including Osinbajo's boss, President Buhari, began commissioning projects, including roads built by the Jonathan administration.
Some of the roads either built or rebuilt by the Jonathan administration include the Benin-Ore portions of the Benin-Lagos road, the Vom-Manchok road, the Kano-Zaria Road bridge (named after late Emir Ado Bayero) and many more.
On this most recent allegation by Vice President Osinbajo, let me state categorically that former President Jonathan DID NOT share 150 billion two weeks to the 2015 election. If Professor Osinbajo has proof that former President Jonathan did so, then we challenge him to publish his proof. He is a professor of law and ought to know that he who alleges must prove.
Again, it is a lie from the pit of hell that the Jonathan administration spent only N14 billion on agriculture and N153 billion on infrastructure in three years as alleged by the fallacious Osinbajo.
The Jonathan administration budgeted and spent over $10 billion on infrastructure in the 5 years between May 6, 2010 and May 29, 2015.
The single most expensive and valuable project built in Nigeria in the last 20 years is the $1.8 billion Abuja-Kaduna 187 kilometres super-fast railway that enables Nigerians work in Abuja and live in Kaduna.
This project was built and completed by the Jonathan administration. Is the Vice President aware of this?
Also, former President Jonathan revived Railways in five of the six geo-political zones and restored direct rail services from Lagos to Kano, Port Harcourt to Maiduguri and Makurdi to Gombe.
When Rotimi Amaechi took over as minister of transport in 2015, he said (this is a direct quote)
“In fact, I think we have a problem; most people don’t believe that the railway transport is functioning in Nigeria. I didn’t even know, until I started this tour, I never knew that the railway was functioning, it was even from his (MD’s) speech that I learnt that there are some coaches or services that go to Kano or Port Harcourt or elsewhere.”
My question to the Vice President is who built these rail infrastructures that Amaechi was referring to?
Who built the only Federal University in President Buhari’s home state of Katsina including 13 other Federal Universities and 165 almajiri schools? It was ex President Jonathan.
In contrast, the Buhari administration, which in less than three years has borrowed more money than the PDP borrowed in 16 years cannot point to even one major project they have started and completed.
Both President Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo keep accusing the Jonathan administration of being corrupt and claim that they run an anti corruption government.
If this is true, how come Nigeria made her best ever improvement in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index under former President Jonathan in 2014 when we moved 8 places forward from 144 to 136 and why have we made our worst ever retrogression in the Corruption Perception Index under President Buhari, moving 12 places backward from 136 to 148 in 2018?
The truth is that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo continues to make these discredited comments because he is a man promoted above his competency.
He was never a deputy Governor or Governor or an ambassador or a minister. His highest portfolio before becoming Vice President was that of a commissioner in Lagos state.
No wonder he was referred to as ‘ordinary commissioner’ by a prominent member of the All Progressive Congress and leading figure in this current administration.
Finally, let me say that If President Buhari will not intervene and rein in his Vice President by call lying pastor Osinbajo to order, I respectfully call on Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to remember the biblical admonition in Revelations 21:8 that "all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone” and step in to call Pastor Osinbajo to order.

Ex- French President, Nicolas Sarkozy arrested for receiving €50 million from Libya's Muammar Gaddafi to finance his 2007 campaign

Ex- French President,?Nicolas Sarkozy arrested?for receiving ?50 million from Libya

Former French President, Nicolas Sarkozy has been arrested and in police custody since Tuesday for questioning by magistrates looking into allegations of Libyan funding for his 2007 election campaign.

France opened a judicial inquiry in 2013 into allegations that Sarkozy’s successful 2007 election bid benefited from illicit funds from late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi.  A former minister and close ally of Sarkozy, Brice Hortefeux, was also being questioned by police on Tuesday morning in relation to the Libya investigation, another source close to the probe said.

Sarkozy, who served as president from 2007 to 2012, has always denied receiving any illicit campaign funding and has dismissed the Libyan allegations as “grotesque”. In January a French businessman suspected by investigators of funnelling money from Gaddafi to finance Sarkozy’s campaign was arrested in Britain and granted bail after he appeared in a London court.

Sarkozy has already been ordered to stand trial in a separate matter concerning financing of his failed re-election campaign in 2012, when he was defeated by Francois Hollande.

'I had enough of getting punched' -Britain's worst boxer' retires after winning only two of his 53 fights in 12 years (Photos)

'Britain's worst boxer, Robin Deakin has finally ended his troubling career after winning just two of 53 fights during his 12-year professional career.

The 31-year-old lightweight boxer, who made his debut in 2006, won his first fight and then lost a whopping 50 fights in a row before eventually picking up his second win in 2015.

His decision comes after he lost one more fight, bringing his total to two wins in 53.

He said: "I'm announcing my retirement after not being successful and losing brain cells. I can't take no more.
"I have boxed the best in Britain and boxed world title challengers and a world champ in a 55-fight career, that ain't been the best. I'm proud to say at least I did something people said I couldn't."

On his 'Britain's Worst Boxer' title, he added: "Thanks to all the people that slated me and the ones that love me."
"I'm deadly serious - it's just not worth my time anymore. I have done more than most would ever do in boxing - I just wanted something back. I did it for money and didn't get enough. I loved entertaining people but I need to earn a living.
"I love the sport and will always love it - I'm just not stepping in the ring again."

Outrage over New Yorker magazine's "repulsive" body-shaming of President Trump

Outrage over New Yorker magazine

The New Yorker magazine has come under fire for its latest cover, which depicts an unflattering photo of a naked President Trump addressing reporters.

The cover photo was obviously aimed at mocking Trump's appearance and the magazine was criticized after it tweeted an early look at the image. Critics said the image was disgusting and repulsive.

They accused the magazine of body shaming the President and said the fact it was being directed at Trump, who has many critics, still doesn't make it OK. Even people who dislike Trump commented saying it was inappropriate.

Outrage over New Yorker magazine

One Twitter user wrote: "I dislike Trump, but they could have done without the body shaming. Especially considering that is a culture we are all trying to get away from."
Collin Rea tweeted: I get that, but as someone who is VERY Anti-Trump, displaying him as a flesh colored blob is 100% body shaming, and its something that Trump himself would do. We can be better than that."
"Shame on you for doing this to anybody, not just the president," a reader replied to the magazine’s tweet.

Outrage over New Yorker magazine

Conservative commentator Britt McHenry told Fox News that the cover is another sign of "intolerance and mean spirited behavior" from the liberal media.
McHenry said: "Why is his weight relevant? There has been a lot of turbulence within the White House Administration the past couple weeks with high profile people resigning. Focus on what actually matters, if criticism is all the media wants to project."
According to The New Yorker magazine, the illustration by Barry Blitt "recalls the prophet Bob Dylan, who once noted, in 'It’s Alright Ma (I’m Only Bleeding),' that 'even the President of the United States must sometimes have to stand naked,' "
"I wanted to address President Trump’s stormy relationship with the press," Blitt said.
Art Editor Francoise Mouly wrote that the illustration was selected from a group that included images of school shootings and the death of Stephen Hawking.
"Once the image was selected, Blitt honed the cast and contour of certain love handles, then glazed the work in his signature watercolors," Mouly wrote.

IGP Ibrahim Idris orders immediate withdrawal of policemen attached to politicians, VIPs

IGP Ibrahim Idris orders immediate withdrawal of policemen attached to politicians, VIPs

The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has ordered the immediate withdrawal of all police officers attached to political office holders, VIPs and prominent individuals in the country.

The police chief gave the order when he spoke at the monthly meeting with Commissioners of Police and other top police officers in Abuja today March 19th. According to Idris, the move is aimed at enhancing effective and efficient policing of the country.
“A Task Force has been constituted at the Force headquarters under the Command of ACP Mohammed Adamu Dan Kwara to ensure compliance to this directive while the Command CPs are to replicate same at their various commands. However, business entreprenuers, multi-national organizations, corporate individuals and entities that require such services and are found to be worthy will be considered from the Special Protection Unit of the Nigerian Police Force on application for re-validation through states commissioners of police where they are resident or domiciled. The Commissioners of Police are to profile and recommend, if such applicants merit the services for approval. By so doing, I am charging the Commissioners of Police with the responsibility of supervising such official deployment and thereby holding them accountable'' the memo reads
On the proliferation of Police Spy Plate Numbers and its abuse as well as illegal use of siren, the IGP said
“I have equally observed the excessive abuse of Spy Plate Numbers, covering of plate Numbers and illegal use of siren.  The police spy plate numbers exclusively approved for use by banks, security companies and multi-national companies is greatly abused. A situation where criminals now take advantage of this to perpetrate heinous crimes. Some individuals have formed the habit of covering their vehicle plate numbers and also illegally use siren. This practice should stop forthwith. I have therefore directed that holders of all police spy number plates are to return them to the Force Transport Officer (FTO) at Force headquarters, where they are expected to apply for re-validation. The Task Force under ACP Dan Kwara will ensure compliance to this directive and arrest violators.  A similar Task Force is to be formed at all the command levels by states commissioners of police to ensure compliance with this directives and the list of the task force team be forwarded to the DIG operations latest 31st March 2018''.

''Recover IDPs funds stolen by your cabal'' PDP tells President Buhari

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has charged President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately recover over N28 billion meant for the rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the northeast but allegedly stolen by members of the Presidency cabal and certain Interests in his All Progressives Congress (APC).

The party said the presidency and the APC are not being sincere with the IDPs by providing cover for those who have been frittering away billions of naira donated for the well-being of victims of insurgency.

The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Sunday, said the President cannot in all honesty claim not to be aware of reported sharp practices, involving billions of naira in the management of funds in the Presidential Initiative on the North East, since the issues came into the public domain.
Indeed, the Presidency cannot, in any way imaginable, claim not to be aware of reports that sometime in August 2017, a cabinet minister and a high ranking Presidency official were alleged to have diverted N18 billion from the N48 billion approved by the National Assembly for the rehabilitation of millions of IDPs and rebuilding of six northeast states ravaged by insurgency in the 2017 budget.
The APC and the Buhari Presidency cannot claim to be unaware of the damning report by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a public document which detailed how officials were using bulk of the resources meant for the IDPs on contracts that were found to have immensely benefitted officials of the APC Government including the sacked Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.
The Buhari Presidency and the APC cannot also claim to be unaware of the motion by Senator Baba Kaka Garba from Borno Central, who exposed how persons known to have connections with the APC, fraudulently cornered N1.2 billion from the Federal Government under the guise of supplying items to IDPs.
Despite the open allegations, the Presidency has not taken any firm step towards an open investigation into the alleged involvement of a cabinet minister and top Presidency in the stealing of N18 billion IDP fund, not to talk about recovering the stolen funds.
The PDP recalled that it took immense pressure from Nigerians before President Buhari could even sack his indicted former SGF, who, hitherto, was enjoying the cover of the Presidency.
All the IDP’s had got from the APC and Buhari-led Presidency are excuses, false assurances, cosmetic condolence messages and crocodile tears, while the cronies and cabal who are frittering away their funds enjoy the protection of the government.
Perhaps, this explains why Mr. President's handlers, in all his visits to troubled states, has ensured that he had no direct interaction with the IDPs probably to avoid being directly taken to task on the stolen fund.
It is clear to Nigerians that the APC government swims in corruption and concealment of sleazes, but stealing from the IDPs is what they least expected. That, for majority of Nigerians, is the worst form of man’s inhumanity to man.
The PDP therefore stands in solidarity with those deprived victims and we demand an end to this concealment of fraud and cosmetic concern for the victims.
The PDP also challenge Buhari Presidency to live true to its 2015 elections probity campaign by making the report of its administrative investigations on sleaze involving the Cabal and other APC interests public.
The PDP also urge all Nigerians and the international community to join hands and ensure that the funds are recovered from APC interests and immediately released to the IDPs.

Fresh UNILAG graduate scheduled to go for NYSC in a few weeks time dies in UCH allegedly due to negligence from hospital staff

Fresh UNILAG graduate scheduled to go for NYSC in a few weeks time dies in UCH allegedly due to negligence from hospital staff

A Facebook user, Enoch B. Godson, has taken to his page to call out the management of the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo state after one of his dear friends, Oluwaseun Ezekiel, died in the hospital due to alleged negligence of staff and failing infrastructure in the hospital.

Enoch in his post revealed that Oluwaseun had just graduated from the University of Lagos UNILAG and was due for NYSC in a few weeks time. He accused UCH of being a death trap. Read his post below

UCH Ibadan A Death Trap.
I write this from a place of inconsolable grief, sheer anguish, unimaginable pain, and the very zenith of fury having lost a dear one so cheaply and unjustifiably in a place that is erroneously believed to be safe but apparently needs saving itself, riddled with egomaniacal doctors with God complexes, nurses like witches, patients attendants who will not attend to you until you have called them a billion times, morticians who will milk you out of your very life savings just to get the remains ready for burial without caring that you were just bereaved, almost everyone there just seemed inappropriate for their respective jobs - such a shambolic and toxic environment! I lost hope in Nigeria for a moment.
We rushed to the emergency department calling for help at about 12am with our dear Oluwaseun diagnosed with Cardiac failure, but it took 15 minutes to have a not-so-friendly looking doctor amble to the car we brought her in just to see whether or not the case was an emergency. Soon we were asked to pay for so many written things including an oxygen tube so that she could breathe, but getting to the cashier, he told us in no uncertain terms that he would not attend to us until he downs his bowl of amala (biko, who eats amala at such an ungodly hour? But that's by the way)
Fresh UNILAG graduate scheduled to go for NYSC in a few weeks time dies in UCH allegedly due to negligence from hospital staff
We had to scream for help then a senior nurse came and spoke some sense into the glutton who reluctantly attended to us after he heard that the patient was dying. Then again we overheard a nurse say "I hope these ones are here with much money, otherwise they shouldn't even bother".
Eventually, Oluwaseun was checked into the resuscitation unit and trust me, that place reeked of death. A resuscitation center that had only one functional heart monitor to serve four dying patients, no even a single defibrillator, stuffy as hell, very mean nurses; one of whom even threatened to check out any patient whose relatives were not cooperative, two malfunctioning air conditioning systems while every last office there had working ones, it was generally a place prepared to make patients sweat their very weak pulses out. It should rather be called a euthanasia ward. How patients were objectified was absolutely distressing. One would have that euphoric shimmer of hope when a team of smug doctors strolls in like demigods only to realise that they came to learn with the patients rather than care for them. What is the point of acquiring redundant knowledge? These people are more used to deaths than saving people. Oh Goodness Gracious!!! I thought their Hippocratic Oath should mean something or are they just murderers with licence? When you kill someone with your inaction, apathy and negligence are you not complicit? This grieves my soul and won't stop replaying in my head. I held her, watched her breathe her last, crashing; with pain written all over her face. We screamed for help but they were rather concerned with quietening us than reviving Oluwaseun. They managed to get to her, gave her a few chest compressions in a futile CPR charade, chatting and laughing while at it, and then pronounced her dead JUST LIKE THAT.
We had waited and waited for the cardiologist who neither showed up nor called for her to be relocated to the cardiology unit until she gave up at 7:20 pm on the 17th of march 2018. This is a fresh brilliant UniLag graduate due for NYSC in a few weeks, someone's beloved daughter, beautiful sister and wonderful friend; someone's decades of physical, psychological and financial investment left for dead in a Nigerian foremost health centre.
Oluwaseun Ezekiel we love you. Even though you were a victim of inept doctors and failed health policies, you forever will be in our hearts. I write this hoping to find some closure by laying it all bare, peradventure it would get to relevant authorities who will amend and enforce the standard operating procedures of this helluva health facility, but unfortunately; Oluwaseun you will still be greatly missed. Rest on in the arms of the Lord.
Don't wait to experience this before you know about some doctors playing God. Please share until someone in authority notices and this menace is fixed #fixuch #fixourhospitals #ripseun
