I didn’t force her – Man, 30, arrested for defiling girl, 10, for a year

It was learnt that the girl and her friends were playing a game, ‘truth or dare,’ when they asked themselves to swear if any man had had sex with them. Other girls said yes, but the victim simply kept mute. The counsellor became alerted.
The Coordinator for Child Protection Network, Toyin Okanlawon, who reported the matter, said: “She suddenly became calm when her friends asked her to swear.
That was what drew the attention of the counsellor, who asked her what the problem was. The victim opened up to her on how their neighbour had been having marathon sex with her for over a year.
Medical test later confirmed she had been abused. The suspect confessed at the police station that whenever he does not go to work, he would defile the minor.
Adigun’s family had been threatening the victim’s parents, which was why I took up the case. I want them to get justice. The suspect also claimed that the girl used to come to his room to seek assistance, that he didn’t force her.
When the victim told her mother about the abuse, she said the girl was talking nonsense because the rapist’s sister is a close friend to the victim’s mother.”

I’m HIV+, Nigerian man arrested with heroin, says

In one of the biggest hauls of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in recent times, a Nigerian man was nabbed with 1.2 kg heroin at Vadodara railway station on Wednesday in India.
According to TimesofIndia, Madubueze Nonso Charles, 38, was arrested around 3.30 am. “When we searched his luggage, we found three concealed food packets of pistachios and rice flour.
On opening them, we found white powder and tests confirmed that it was heroin,” said Hari Om Gandhi, director of Ahmedabad zonal unit of NCB.
“During interrogation, he told us that he had received the consignment from another Nigerian. However, he has not revealed the name of the person,” said Gandhi. He has admitted to carrying drugs consignment in the past as well.
NCB suspects that the heroin seized from Charles, is of Afghan origin. During interrogation, Charles told investigators is HIV infected.
“He must be saying that he is HIV infected so that we go soft on him or for gaining sympathy from us. But we will make him undergo a medical test to know the truth,” said NCB official.

I warned him – Mom of Nigerian teenager shot dead in U.K

The mother of a privately-educated Nigerian teenager shot dead outside a cinema, has revealed how she warned him against going out.
According to EveningStandard, Kelvin Odunuyi, 19, was gunned down as he stood with friends at the entrance of the Vue cinema in Wood Green, at just after 12.30am on Thursday.
Witnesses described seeing two masked men on a moped ride past before one opened fire. Mr Odunuyi, a rapper who performed under the name DipDat and was also known as Lampz, was pronounced dead in hospital two hours later.
The killing, the first fatal shooting of a teenager in London in 2018, is thought to be part of an escalating “postcode war” between gangs in Wood Green and nearby Tottenham.
It was claimed that Mr Odunuyi was not a gang member, but socialised with people who were. His mother, Afishetu Oniru, said he was in the “wrong place at the wrong time”.
She said: “He was a lovely jovial boy. He was clever and loved by all who knew him…he had everything going for him.”
Oniru said relatives, including his father who runs a property business in Nigeria, had paid her son’s fees at the prestigious £26,000-a-year Fulneck School in Pudsey, West Yorkshire, and that he had ambitions to work in the oil industry.
She said: “I have always lived in London but when we moved to Wood Green for a short time I got scared for my family. We now live in Harrow and I told him not to go back to Wood Green to see friends.

But he did and now he is dead after being shot dead in a random attack. Police said it was wrong place at wrong time. I am devastated. I knew he would be safe at home with me but he went there and now he is dead.” There have been no arrests.

I had regular sex while battling with a stroke – Actor Ernest Asuzu

Nollywod actor Ernest Asuzu has spoken about his ordeals after he suffered a stroke in 2015 and could neither walk nor talk.
In a recent chat with Sunday Scoop, Asuzu said: “When I was down with a stroke, my wife was the only one who didn’t forsake me. It was a terrible situation because I did not work for three years, yet I was spending money.
I must confess that I was afraid that my wife would leave me at that time. Though the illness was serious, it didn’t affect my sex life. Naturally, I am hyperactive in bed and I don’t joke with sex. I have been married officially for five years.”
