Radio host quits live on air after her coworkers ambushed her by bringing a nanny who the host refused to hire for being too pretty

Radio host quits live on air after her coworkers ambushed her by bringing a nanny who the host refused to hire for being too pretty

A Washington DC area radio host quit her job, live on air, after her co-hosts blindsided her by inviting on their show a model the host refused to hire as a nanny for her children.

Danni Starr, who is one of the three hosts of WKYS popular morning show 'The Fam in the Morning', was looking for a nanny for her 2 kids when a model sent her a DM saying she wanted the job. Danni refused to hire the model because she was too pretty.

The OAP said she has had many bad experiences in the past with pretty babysitters. She has also been open about how her husband cheated with a stripper and how her father had an affair with a babysitter and had another child by the nanny.

But her co-hosts, DJ Quick Silva and DJ 5'9,  went behind her and found the model then, on the morning of March 8, they brought her on-air without Danny's knowledge to discuss the "discrimination" of not hiring a pretty girl. The model then proceeded to slam Danni live on air for refusing to give her the job. She claimed that Danni was "jealous" and "insecure" of "pretty girls". Danni was there and had to sit through listening to the girl bash her while her co-hosts agreed with the girl and supported the criticisms. This angered Danni and she fired back.

"I'm not even going to address her because this isn't about her. This is about you and you," she told her co-hosts.
Her male co-hosts tried to shut her up but she continued: "On International Women's day I'm gonna ask you to be quiet. This is what is gonna happen. You do not ambush your co-host. You do not do that, because, one thing, I am not insecure, okay? I have been cheated on. I have been very open and vocal about my stuff but I get to decide what happens in my household, okay?
"My daddy slept with the babysitter so I know my situation. You're beautiful, and that's great. You can be your model, singer, do all that stuff but you are not... I get to pick who is around my children and who is around my man and no, you will not be."

In anger, Danni quit her job live on air on Thursday morning, saying: "Y'all ain't nothing and on my life this will be my last day working with y'all."
A lot of people thought she was bluffing but she went on Twitter almost immediately to share that she was in search of a job.
"Hi. My name is Danni, I have two beautiful little girls. I need a job. I work hard, I’m passionate and I know what I bring and I know my worth! Any takers?" the host tweeted on Thursday after the tumultuous incident.

She also posted other tweets and a Facebook Live video detailing her side of the events.

The incident has now led to a debate about whether Danni was right to refuse to hire someone based on her looks, and whether the co-hosts were right to go about it the way they did.

''It is time for my son-in-law to be governor'' governor Rochas Okorocha says

Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, says the time has come for his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, to be the next governor of Imo state.

In a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, CPS, Sam Onwuemeodo, Governor Okorocha said Nwosu who is married to his daughter Uloma, will become governor despite all the antics of the opposition.

Okorocha was reacting to a statement credited to a group called Restoration Coalition of APC, that have vowed to stop the endorsement of his son-in-law, Nwosu, to be the next governor of the state.

Governor Okorocha in his statement said
Endorsement is a Public Statement or action showing support of something or somebody. It has been part of our democracy. And it is surprising that some people have been loosing sleep over the several endorsements the young Uche Nwosu has been getting. The difference is that his own endorsement is like a revolution, and almost all the other aspirants are feeling threatened. The release viewed it as an attempt to deceive the weary and indeed the general public. They should have gone ahead to also endorse their own candidate. What is their headache. Is Governor Okorocha the only governor who has indicated interest in one of the members of his Political family to succeed him. They should follow events in other States. And also do their political research. Endorsement has been there. And they should ask their Candidate to withdraw if he is not popular to the extent of attracting people to endorse him. Uche Nwosu is the man. This is his time and nobody should envy him''.

More than 60 bags of elephant ivory worth US$2.5 million were seized by Singapore authorities on Monday, March 5, from a Vietnam-bound shipment.

In a joint press release released on Thursday, by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA), a container detained at the Pasir Panjang Scanning Station was found to hold 61 bags of elephant ivory — 1,787 pieces in total, weighing about 3,500 kg altogether.

The shipment of ivory originated from Apapa, Nigeria, and was meant to be re-exported to Vietnam, the statement said, adding that the importer is currently assisting in investigations.

According to the authorities, the value of the elephant tusks was estimated to be worth about US$2.5 million. The illegal shipment itself was detected thanks to an inter-agency risk assessment and collaboration.
Expressing the government’s zero-tolerance stance on the use of Singapore as a conduit to smuggle endangered species and their parts.
In Singapore, which follows the the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (Cites), it is an offence to illegally import and export, possess, sell, offer or advertise for sale or display illegal wildlife species.
Elephants are a protected species under Cites and international trade in elephant ivory is prohibited, the statement said.
Those convicted of doing so will face up to two years' jail or fined up to $500,000. The prohibited items will also be forfeited.
These penalties also apply to transit or transshipment of illegal wildlife species, including their parts and derivatives.
In the statement, ICA said that it will continue to conduct checks on vehicles and travellers at the checkpoints to stop smuggling attempts.
"As the Government takes a zero-tolerance stance on the use of Singapore as a conduit to smuggle endangered species and their parts, AVA will take stern enforcement action against illegal wildlife smugglers," the statement added.
