Senior pastor impregnates two teenage sisters

Senior pastor impregnates two teenage sisters

A senior pastor has been arrested for impregnating two underaged sisters in Kenya.
30-year-old Alfred Maingi Ndolo, the senior Pastor of Unabii Christian Church in Kenya, was arrested after the orphaned sisters, aged 15 and 17 years, disclosed that they had both been having sexual relationships with the pastor and were pregnant.
Kenyan News Agency reports that their grandmother, who the girls live with, reported the matter to the Police, and the suspect was arrested as investigations were launched. The grandmother said the pastor was a frequent visitor to their house as he was the girls' spiritual adviser, but he took advantage of his access to them to begin performing sexual acts on them.
The grandmother said: "I never suspected anything until early this week when I noticed that the physique of the 15-year-old girl had changed and she was withdrawn. However, my questioning did not yield much and I opted to take them to a nearby health centre for medical checkup, where I was told that both of them were pregnant."
According to the report, as the police were recording statements from the girls at Ngoliba police station, the 17-year-old went into labor and was rushed to Thika Level 5 Hospital where she delivered a baby girl through Caesarian section.
Thika East Deputy OCPD, Zipporah Nderitu, confirmed the development to the newspaper, saying that the suspect was being held for the alleged crime and that he would be arraigned in court to answer to the defilement charges.
"We will call for DNA test and lock in the suspect for good, as he is said to have committed a similar offence seven years ago in Oldonyo Sabuk and served his full term in prison," she said.

Finally, Prince Kazeem Eletu denies involvement with notorious assassin, Adeola Williams who was arrested for murder

Finally, Prince Kazeem Eletu denies involvement with notorious assassin, Adeola Williams who was arrested for murder

Lagos socialite and philanthropist, Prince Kazeem Eletu Odibo has denied any onvolvement with the notorious serial killer, Adeola Williams famously known as Ade Lawyer, who was recently paraded in Lagos by the Nigerian Police for alleged murder.

Ade Lawyer was apprehended alongside former National Union Road of Transport Workers (NURTW) Chairman, Lagos State chapter, Alhaji Rafiu Akanni Olohunwa in connection with the murder of Ganiyu Ayinla, popularly known as Pinero, the Personal Assistant to the NURTW Chairman in Idumota, Azeez Lawal, known also as“Kunle Poly".

Late Lawal was killed on January 23 during an attack on Kunle Poly in the Idumota area of Lagos Island and Ade Lawyer confessed during interrogation that he was contracted by Olohunwa to assassinate Kunle Poly.

He also alleged in a video that has gone viral on social media that he had worked for many influential Nigerians, including Prince Kazeem, the youngest son of late popular traditional Lagos Chief, Gbadamosi Bamidele Eletu Odibo.

Reacting to the allegation, Prince Kazeem, in an Instagram video said; "Nothing can shake me"

However, in a press release which he personally signed and made available to the media, Prince Kazeem disclosed that he saw Ade Lawyer once, when he came alongside some area boys during a dispute over a land boundary.

He said: "It wasn't even a physical fight. Nobody exchanged blows at all. It was just a verbal disagreement with the man who also claimed the (disputed) land belongs to his family. We were surrounded by area boys, some of whom always hail me anytime they came across me and as a kind gesture, I do give them money. So, this bearer (Ade Lawyer) was among them. He came with one NURTW official that day. While the argument was ongoing, the Police from the Ilasan Station at Lekki/Ajah came and invited us to their station. That was the first and the last time I met this fellow (Ade Lawyer)", Prince Kazeem noted.

As for the land dispute, Prince Kazeem said: "We were transferred to Area J Command and both sides were asked to bring relevant documents which we did. At the end, the Area Commander instructed both parties to maintain peace and return to the status quo based on the Supreme Court judgment in favour of our family as the rightful owner of the land."

Prince Kazeem, who recently celebrated his 40th birthday and launched a foundation, washed his hands off the allegations, stressing that the suspect has never worked for him.

Perception of corruption worsens in Nigeria – 2017 T.I Report

The index, published Wednesday, showed that out of 100 points signalling maximum transparency and no corruption, Nigeria scored 27 points.
The results show a slight deterioration in perception of corruption in public administration in Nigeria compared to 2016. In 2016, Nigeria scored 28 points and ranked 136th in the ranking of countries.
With the one-point reduction in the score, Nigeria slipped in the country-ranking by 12 positions, from 136 in 2016 to 148 in 2017. The rankings are from 1 to 180, with 180 indicating the country having the worst perception of corruption.
It uses a scale of 0 to 100, where 0 is highly corrupt and 100 is very clean, according to TI. The report noted that while the rest of the world has improved in the perception on corruption, Nigeria slips further down as the fight against corruption stagnates.
Botswana leads the African continent with the record of competent and largely corruption-free public administration.

Russia detains opposition leader, Alexei Navalny over Illegal protest ahead of next month's presidential election

Russia detains opposition leader,?Alexei Navalny?over Illegal protest ahead of next month

Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny has said he was briefly detained today for organising illegal protests as Russia prepares to hold presidential polls next month.

Navalny, who has been barred from challenging President Vladimir Putin in the election, now faces a court hearing and up to 30 days in prison after being formally charged.

The prominent Kremlin critic wrote on Twitter on Thursday afternoon: “I came out of the dentist’s and what do you know the second operative (police) regiment, ‘you’re detained’.”

He later wrote that he was taken to a police station where he was charged with repeatedly breaking rules on holding protests before being released.  “I’ve been released pending trial. I don’t know when the hearing will be,” he wrote on Twitter.

Navalny, who cannot contest the election because of a criminal conviction he says is politically motivated, was detained last month after he appeared at a Moscow rally but released later that day without facing court.  He suggested the delayed hearing was a move by the Kremlin to ensure he would be in prison during the run-up to the election, which he has urged his supporters to boycott.

Navalny was also questioned this month by investigators from the powerful Investigative Committee over an allegation that he attacked police during his detention after the protest.  If charged, he could face a jail term.

Man dies after throwing explosive device at US Embassy

Man dies after throwing explosive device at US Embassy

A man died after attempting to throw a grenade over the wall of the US Embassy early on Thursday in Montenegro's capital of Podgorica.

The grenade appeared to have gone off as it was thrown into the air, and the man detonated a second device that killed him, police said, calling the death a suicide. The man's body was found 100 feet from the embassy's wall, according to Steve Goldstein, US undersecretary of state for public diplomacy and public affairs.

The man's motive for throwing the device was unclear, Goldstein said. One grenade was thrown into the embassy courtyard, while a second one killed the unidentified male, according to the government of the Baltic country.
At 00:30, in front of the @USEmbassyMNE building in , an unknown person committed suicide with an explosive device. Immediately before, that person threw an explosive device from the intersection near the Sport Center into the US Embassy compound. (1 of 2)
In a statement, Montenegrin police confirmed they had found the "lifeless body of an unidentified male."

"According to the investigation so far, this male person was killed due to the activation of an explosive device after having previously thrown an explosive device -- a bomb -- into the US Embassy courtyard," the statement said.

Police said the embassy incurred no damage "other than the crater remaining at the site where the bomb exploded," adding that "evidence from the site has been collected and it will be subject to expert evaluation."
