''Herdsmen crisis mischievously invented by CAN to achieve a pre-planned agenda'' Muslim group alleges

The Jamatul Nasir Islam (JNI) which is the umbrella body of Muslims in the country, has accused the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, of inventing the herdsmen crisis to achieve a preplanned agenda. According to the group, the herdsmen crisis invented by CAN is to achieve a sinister agenda in 2019.
Addressing a press conference in Kaduna state yesterday Sunday January 21st, the Secretary-General of JNI Sheikh Dr. Khalid Abubakar Aliyu, accused the CAN of unnecessarily over heating the polity “through provocative and blatant misinformation ”
The ‘herdsmen’ debacle must be understood that this is a mischievously invented by CAN over time and its biased errand boys among media practitioners stereotype an ethnic group so as to achieve a pre-planned agenda. Why is the whole herdsmen issue heightened now in 2018? simply, CAN is unnecessarily overheating the polity because 2019 is around the corner. Our take is that CAN should better go and register as a political party and contest election if they want to test their popularity. We nonetheless make bold to say that CAN is deliberately covering up by using the ‘herdsmen’ debacle as a franchise to perpetrate evil as witnessed in the Boko Haram tale''

Speaking further, the Muslim leader accused Christian leaders in the country of hate speeches that will definitely create disunity among Christians and Muslims in the country. The group listed OyedepoSuleman and others as perpetrators of hate speeches against Muslims.
In the same light, some Christian leaders promote hate speeches, such as if you see a Fulani man kill him by Pastor Suleiman and crush them, kill them by pastor Oyedepo. The repercussion Of such speeches could be better imagined. In addition, Bishop Kukah’s hate speech against Muslims in Nigeria is legendary, as hardly would opportunity avail itself for him to talk without smearing Islam and Muslims in Nigeria. CAN and other Christian leaders such as Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, Pastor Oyedepo, Suleiman and recently El Buba should not take Nigerian Muslims’ patience for foolishness, as their speeches are becoming really provocative and outlandish. Therefore, CAN should desist from making provocative statements in the midst of serious issues bedeviling the nation. Government should take the bull by the horn by prosecuting promoters of hate speeches in Nigeria, if not one day it will become a norm that cannot be challenged and one of the chief mongers of the hate speech is CAN as represented by Rev. Asake. To put the record straight, JNI condemns killings of innocent souls wherever they happen and whoever is involved. JNI also condemns the generalization of criminals as representatives of the whole, thus leading to unjust stereotyping and name calling. We condemn all criminals, whoever they are and wherever they come from. A criminal should be treated as a criminal regardless of his/her ethnicity and/or religious affiliation”.

Fulani herders must register with N5,000 in host communities, Fayose orders

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has ordered Fulani herders to register with N5,000 in their host communities for identity and location.
According Punchng, he also told Serikin Fulani in the state, Muhammed Abashe, that he will be held responsible for any further attack in the state.
The governor, who was furious about the recent killing of a Tiv woman in Orin Ekiti by people suspected to be Fulani herders, said Abashe had failed in providing leadership by not stopping his kinsmen from destroying farms.
The governor also condemned the herdsmen attacks on residents “at the slightest provocation.”
He said, “If you (Fulani herders) still want to stay among us, you must accept the responsibility to ensure that none of our peoples’ farms is destroyed by herdsmen any longer.
None of our people must be killed by your men, either they are strangers or those herdsmen living among us. If any killing or destruction of farms of our people occurs again in that area, I will ensure that I use the law to fight you their leader on it. This is the last warning I am giving you,” he warned.

Man faces 15 years in jail for catching cheating wife

On the second floor, he found his wife in bed with her boss, Albert Lopez, 58. With his iPhone, he recorded two brief videos of them in bed. The New Jersey man got a letter last July informing him that a grand jury had indicted him on charges of felony burglary and unlawful surveillance for the April 2016 incident.
“I feel like it’s unjust what they’re doing to me,” said Donis, 37, to the New York Post in September. “It’s like I’m being punished twice.” He appeared in court in September, where he pleaded not guilty. His second appearance happened on Friday.

“I was in fear,” Lopez testified of the moment when Donis caught him in bed with his wife. “I kept telling him, you need to get out of here,” Lopez told the jury hearing Donis’s felony burglary case.
The incident left Lopez traumatized. “I couldn’t go to sleep. I had repeated memories of what occurred. I started to go through the house and check all the doors and make sure they were locked,” he said.
Lopez also noted that Donis’s wife said they were separated, and he thought Donis was out of the picture. The husband’s lawyer, Howard Greenberg, told jurors that the husband actually “deserves a medal,” not a prison sentence, for uncovering his wife’s unfaithfulness without physically harming his rival.
However, despite the fact that Lopez slept with Donis’s wife, prosecutor Nabeela Mcleod asserted that Lopez was a victim — a victim of Donis’s breaking and entering his home and recording him and Donis’s wife without their consent (Donis shared the videos with his wife’s relatives). He now faces a possible maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. 📸: Wsbuzz

Muslim group asks CAN to register as a political party and contest in 2019

The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) has accused the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) of “unnecessarily overheating” the polity because the 2019 elections are around the corner.
In a statement on Sunday, Khalid Aliyu, secretary of the group led by Sa’ad Abubakar, sultan of Sokoto, advised CAN to register as a political party if it wants to test its popularity.
“The herdsmen debacle – it must be understood that this is a coinage mischievously invented by CAN over time and its biased errand boys among media practitioners to stereotype an ethnic group so as to achieve a pre-planned agenda.
Why is the whole herdsmen issue heightened now i.e. 2018? Simply CAN is unnecessarily overheating the polity because 2019 is around the corner. Our take is that CAN should better go and register as a political party and contest election if they want to test their popularity!

We, nonetheless, make bold to say that CAN is deliberately covering up by using the ‘herdsmen’ debacle as a franchise to perpetrate evil as witnessed in the ‘Boko Haram’ tale. As cases of Christians dressed in Muslims’ garb to bomb churches is still fresh in our memories,” the statement by Aliyu read.

He alleged that CAN had now devised a new approach of destabilising Nigeria in order to achieve its agenda. “If not so, would one explain Mr. Asake’s (CAN spokesman) silence about the New Years’ eve killings in Rivers state, but mentioned that of Kwara state and other places? Selective amnesia indeed.
Is CAN not supposedly representing all Christians? If not so, why forget to mention the gruesome attack in Rivers? Is it because no Muslim is involved, and therefore it’s not a crime?
Talking about the killings in Benue state, why did Asake remain mute on the arming of thousands of ethnic militia by the Benue state government (as reported by some sections of the media), an act which is seen as a prelude to the most unfortunate spate of horrendous experiences in the state.

To put the record straight, JNI condemns killings of innocent souls wherever they happen and whoever is involved.

Former Kentucky Ass. Police Chief accused of ordering his officer to shoot black teens and 'f**K their mothers if they are hot'

TF? Former Kentucky Ass. Police Chief accused of ordering his officer to shoot black teens and

WARNING: This report contains graphic language.
A former Kentucky assistant Prospect Police chief has been accused of racism after he reportedly sent numerous racist messages to a Louisville Metro Police recruit, ordering him to shoot black juveniles if he catches any of them smoking marijuana.
According to a letter, Jefferson County Attorney Mike O’Connell sent to Prospect Mayor John Evans, Todd Shaw sent the “highly disturbing racist and threatening Facebook messages” to the recruit.

The Courier-Journal reported that O’Connell told Evans that while Shaw and the recruit were discussing a training scenario in which the recruit was to write a paper on "the right thing to do" if he caught three juveniles smoking marijuana, Shaw stated: "Fuck the right thing. If black shoot them.”
Instructing the recruit on how to handle parents of a juvenile caught smoking pot, the former Kentucky assistant Prospect Police chief wrote: “If mom is hot then fuck her. If  dad is hot then handcuff him and make him suck my dick. Unless daddy is black. Then shoot him."
Shaw also wrote that "ML King was nothing but a racist (sic) womanizer ... but because someone shot him, I get a day off with pay each year."
Shaw has since been fired from the Prospect force, after working 20 years as a Louisville officer. He was dismissed last year, after O'Connell wrote the letter.
It was also learned that Shaw had filed to keep the offending messages confidential but after WDRB and WAVE requested them under the state Open Records Act, a judge ruled last week they are made public.
“While it is important to note that all the communications either sent or received by Shaw were sent privately, the city finds the content of the messages to be abhorrent, disgusting and reprehensible," Evans, the Prospect mayor, said.
Courier-Journal also revealed that Shaw was investigated last fall over allegations that he illegally assisted Kenneth Betts, one of two officers charged with sexually abusing teens who were in the Louisville department’s Explorer Scout program.

Rochas Okorocha says APC governors have unanimously endorsed Buhari for a second term

Rochas Okorocha says APC governors have unanimously endorsed Buhari for a second term

Imo State governor, Rochas have stated that governors elected under the banner of APC have all given their support and approval to president Buhari's second term bid. He stated this on arrival at the Sam Mbakwe airport from Abuja where he held meetings with APC chiefs.
The governor said Buhari's performance merits another term and stressed the need for continuity. He said:
“We were in Abuja for three days, holding meetings of the Progressive Governors with the APC leadership. We deliberated on so many issues. First among the very important issues that we discussed, was the issue of Mr. President’s second term bid and it has the endorsement of all the governors of the APC.
“There is the need for him to complete his second term as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and he should go ahead to declare (to run for reelection).”
“We also deliberated and a unanimous decision was reached that we liaise with the campaign team, to be headed by the Minister of Transportation, Amaechi, as the Director-General.
“The governors also endorsed his (Amaechi’s) reappointment as the Director-General of the campaign team due to his track record ahead of the last election.
“Four years are not enough to show what the President can offer. We believe that another four years will bring out the best in him. The first four years are a very difficult period, and we believe that as things are stabilising, he will take Nigeria to the next level.
“The governors have serious responsibilities. All the governors were asked to put up a team as the campaign council.”
