Alec Baldwin reportedly spotted having a meltdown on the streets on New York

Alec Baldwin reportedly spotted having a meltdown on the streets on New York

Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin reportedly had another epic meltdown on the streets of New York this week.

According to the New York Post, a fellow pedestrian at University Place and 11th Street says the star was seen in a verbal exchange with a presumably reckless motorist that included insults and soft-drink throwing.

“Baldwin called the driver of a big black SUV ‘a meatball’ and kept asking him and the passenger to get out,” said the witness, who noticed the incident after it had already begun.   When the people in the car wouldn’t get out, “Alec got out his phone and started videotaping them. They pulled away right after, and he took a pic of their license plate and threw his extra-large drink in the street. Then he just went on his angry way.”

In 2014, the actor was arrested in the same area for biking the wrong way down Fifth Avenue and reportedly becoming “belligerent and arguing” with cops.

World-renowned climber watches girlfriend die in an avalanche then kills himself because he couldn

A world-renowned climber who watched his girlfriend die in an avalanche later killed himself in a fit of grief after he was unable to save her.
Hayden Kennedy, 27, and his girlfriend, Inge, were climbing on the slopes in Montana when they accidentally triggered an avalanche on Saturday, October 7. Both Hayden and Inge were buried in the snow. Mt. Avalanche's Instagram account explained that Inge had been fully buried by the snow while Hayden had been partially buried.
Mt. Avalanche wrote on their Instagram account: "Both were caught, one fully buried and one partial. The fully buried skier was recovered from scene by Gallatin County Search and Rescue yesterday (Mon)."

Hayden successfully freed himself but was unable to find his girlfriend. Unable to bear the loss of his partner, Hayden took his own life just a day after Inge's death. In a post written by Facebook account Black Diamond Equipment, it explained that the couple had been heading to southwestern Montana for an early season ski tour. Inge and Hayden had moved to Bozeman, Montana in the last few months.

Hayden's sponsors, Black Mountain Equipment, paid tribute to the 27-year-old on Facebook.
They wrote: "To say Hayden was a talented climber would be an understatement. To say he was one of the world’s best climbers is closer to the truth, yet even those words fall flat and fail miserably at truly describing what Hayden - or HK as we called him - really represented in our sport. He was, with all intents and purposes, a climber who transcended barriers."

A week before his death, Hayden had written an article about the perils of climbing. In the article, he mourned the loss of friends he had seen "go to the mountains", only to never return.
He wrote on Evening Sends website: "Over the last few years, however, as I've watched too many friends go to the mountains only to never return, I've realised something painful. It's not just the memorable summits and crux moves that are fleeting. Friends and climbing partners are fleeting, too. This is the painful reality of our sport, and I'm unsure what to make of it. Climbing is either a beautiful gift or a curse."

'There’s more to his death, we will ensure that the truth of the matter comes to light' Tagbo's family releases official statement

The Family of a friend of Davido and actress Caroline Danjuma's lover, Tagbo Umeike, has released an official statement, concerning his death and all the controversies it's generated. The statement released by Mrs Araka on behalf of the family, says recent development have shown that there is more to the death of their son and that they would ensure that the truth of the matter comes to light. Read the statement below...
“We, the family of Tagbo Ifeatuchukwu Umeike, received the shocking news of the passing of our brother on October 3 at about 8:55p.m., several hours after his demise. Since his passing, there have been several stories making the rounds, especially on social media, regarding Tagbo’s personality and the circumstances concerning his death. For a family that is trying to come to terms with the passing of their loved one, some disparaging and unfounded comments and statements about his personality and life, especially from individuals who did not even know Tagbo, have been received with a lot of sadness.
“Tagbo looked out for everyone and had a big heart; he was a friend to all and loved by many. Evidence received so far suggests that there is more to his death and we, as a family, will ensure that the truth regarding the circumstances of his passing will be brought to light. At this point, we will like to thank the Lagos State Police Force, led by Acting Police Commissioner, Imohimi Edgal, for their diligence and professionalism in carrying out their investigation. We are pleased to say that we now have a clearer picture of the events leading up to Tagbo’s untimely demise. As it is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to disclose any further information, but suffice to say the truth will come out! We would like to kindly ask that the print media and blogs covering this story refrain from printing hearsay and fabrications and stick to the facts, while respecting that the family is grieving.” he said

Restructuring: You can’t treat unequals equally, El-rufai tells Igbos, others

Amid agitation by leaders of the South East for the creation of an additional state in the zone, Kaduna State governor and chairman of ruling APC, Committee on True Federalism, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, has declared that it would be a grave injustice to agitate for “equal unequals”.
.
According to him, even in population and resources, the regions of the country are not uniformly endowed. Nasir el-Rufai He, however, said though the representatives of the agitators were few in number, “the majority must always win.”
.
Speaking at a town hall meeting organised by his committee to get inputs from youths, the governor said when people talk about restructuring, most proponents think of their zones while no one thinks of the country.
.
He said: “The greatest injustice is trying to make equals unequal and unequals equal; things are not done like that. What do I mean by that? There are those who have said that Nigeria and United States are the same.
.
It is just like saying everyone who is six feet, five can play basket ball. As human beings, we are equal but you cannot come and stand here and say we should create nine states in each zone, Nigeria is not equal, likewise the population and resources, you can’t do that.
.
The representatives of the agitators are few in number and so the majority must always win. The president of the country exists, the Senate exists and there are 36 states of the federation.
.
We the old ones are still here, some of us are good, some are bad, like the youths but you must learn to live with us because we are still here. Now, some people say because we have oil, let us have resource control. We must think of what is in the overall interest of Nigeria.
.
By that I mean what works for everyone. Because what works for one part of the county will not necessarily work for the other and so as long as we are from one country, we must seek for what is of common good, not the one that serves one interest group.”

Inspector General of Police sues Saraki and Senate committee over corruption allegations

Inspector General of Police sues Saraki and Senate committee over corruption allegations

Ibrahim Idris, the Inspector-General of Police has filed a suit against the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges.

According to Channels TV, the law suit comes amid allegations of corruption in the Nigeria Police Force made by the lawmaker representing Bauchi Central Senatorial District, Senator Isa Misau.  Senator Misau had among others, alleged that the Inspector-General of Police collects gratification from policemen attached to private citizens and oil companies.. Claims police authorities denied but accused the lawmaker of deserting the force.

This had sparked up controversies across the country with the police boss investigating the corruption allegations in the force, and the Senate also setting up an ad hoc committee to investigate the allegations against the IGP.

Mr Ibrahim, however, approached a Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday, seeking a declaration that the committee set up by the Senate to investigate the allegations levelled against him are null and void. He also asked the court to declare that the seating and other conducts of the committee prove that the allegations against him was unconstitutional, null and void.

The Senate, had last week, resolved to investigate allegations against the police boss after Senator Missau accused him of breach of public trust, mismanagement and misappropriation of funds belonging to the Nigerian Police.

The case is yet to be assigned to a judge.
