A year after fleeing home and church, girl labeled a witch reunites with her father

.
.
Emem was one of the children picked on the streets of Eket, Akwa Ibom State, during a campaign tour by the Ministry of Women Affairs, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons and related matters (NAPTIP), and Child Protection Network (CPN).
.
.
She was then handed over to the CRARN personnel for care and reunification. Effort to locate the parents and initiate reconciliation did not yield any dividends as the girl was giving different stories and locations out of fear of going back to her parents.
.
.
But the light beamed one day as she confided in one of the children in the center her reasons for not revealing her father’s location so her friend divulged it to a caregiver.
.
.
Her reasons included long term starvation in the churches in the name of fasting, rejection by friends in the school, torture by her father and stepmother ( who’s also a prophetess.)
.
.
She said she roved different prayer houses for more than a year without going to school. She narrated her ordeal in the hands of a prophet who kept her standing in the nights till daybreak so that she would not be called out to the coven.
.
.
Anytime she slept off she would be brutalized with belts and sticks. When she could not bear the brunt of the beatings any longer, she sneaked out of the church and ran away.
.
.
Since then, she’s been roaming the streets and sleeping in the bush or uncompleted buildings with other street children. She said when her father met her one day, he rained curses on her and prayed that she dies soon. Yesterday, her father signed documents to accept her back home.

'I am convinced that this is a case of poisoning or sabotage' - Late Chime's sister, Sopulu Amaeachi speaks

This afternoon, LIB reported that Sopulu Amaechi, sister to late Chime who was found dead with DJ Olu this weekend said no one has made mention of the fact that Chime and Olu ate and it was the last place they visited before they went home.

In the concluding part of her interview with Thenetng she said, 'Chime was not that kind of person. I have seen addicts and I know how they act...My brother or Dj Olu were definitely not addicts. You see, addicts are always fidgeting, their account of what they do is not constant. Chime was always coherent. I never suspected his moves because he confided in me. So how would they say he overdosed on drugs? Nobody is asking for the name of the place they went to eat, neither are they asking if he was poisoned. I am convinced that this was a case of poisoning or sabotage, because I know my brother.'

She continued to say, 'my belief is that it was something connected to his business. Her and Olu were negotiating a deal with the Oyo State Government and he had just arrived from Ibadan. The person who reviewed the CCTV footage told us they saw someone drop something in their car and the person left. They should tell us who that person is' .

Kachikwu & Baru shake hands as they meet at the Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja today (photos)

The silent feud between Minister of state for Petroleum Products, Ibe Kachikwu and the Group Managing Director of NNPC, Maikanti Baru, was put aside today as both men met, exchanged pleasantries and had discussions at the ongoing Nigerian Economic Summit in Abuja. They had discussions on the opportunities in the oil sector at the Energy Policy Committee breakout session at the summit.
Kachikwu and Baru are at loggerheads after the former in a petition written to President Buhari, accused the latter of insubordination and awarding contracts without due process. In reaction, Baru in a statement released yesterday said he is under no obligation to discuss contract matters with Kachikwu. The presidency is yet to react to the development.

"Enjoy but don't come and infringe on my rights!" -Ghanaian lawyer says loud moaning and screaming during sex is a crime..lol

A Ghanaian lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, says that loud moaning during sex is a crime and must be stopped as it infringes on the rights of others.
“Why is it that you are having sex, I cannot sleep?" he queries.
"In a compound house, they are having sex with you and everybody cannot sleep, you are infringing upon their rights to privacy and you are committing a crime because you are committing what we call a sexual nuisance," he said.
“Everything that makes noise, everything that makes you uncomfortable is a nuisance. There are some girls when they are having sex and you are passing on the streets , you will hear them moaning and screaming.
“The worst ones are the men. If you are a man and you are having sex and you are talking and moaning , can’ t you control yourself? You should have self-control. When animals are having sex do you hear them moaning like that ?"
Ampaw also narrated how he couldn't sleep during his stay in a hotel because of the noise coming from a couple that also lodged in same hotel. .
"After I had finished with a hard day’s work at 7 o’ clock I checked into my room and this guy and this girl came to town to rest , I was lying down before I could realize, their bed  was making noise and then I woke up, I could not sleep and the girl was giving commentary.”
“If you are enjoying , enjoy but don ’t come and infringe on my rights … We must put a stop to it ," he concluded .

Jackie Chan's daughter comes out as a Lesbian on Instagram

Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan's estranged daughter, Etta Ng, came out as a lesbian last week when she posted a photo on Instagram in front of a rainbow flag, with the simple caption, "#lgbtqai #lgbt #lesbian #androgynous."

Then In a follow up post, Etta revealed that not only is she a lesbian, but also she is in a committed relationship with social media influencer Andi Autumn.
She wrote, 'I am in awe at the amount of support and love poured my way. I am speechless at how followers went to my Girlfriend @andiautumn and my account to show us both so much positivity. People all over the world have been rooting us on as Hong Kong media continues to mock. I’ve grown up in a world of negativity and close mindedness but I am at that point where I realise that I can use my experience to tell my truths and help others just like me. Thankfully I’ve grown since the days I was powerless and uncertain what the world has for me. Thank you for the enormous outpour of love and acceptance'.

Before now, Etta has been out of the spotlight for most of her life. The media was very taken with Etta around the time of her birth in 1999, when they dubbed her "Little Dragon Girl." Jackie had an affair with Elaine Ng, a beauty queen in the late '90s, which ended before Etta's birth. Since then, Etta and her mother have lived fairly private lives in Hong Kong.

Zonal PPRO, Dolapo Badmus, reacts to reports that DJ Olu and his friend died of drug overdose, says autopsy report not yet out

There were reports online today that DJ Olu and his friend, Chime, who were found dead inside their car in an apartment complex over the weekend, died of drug overdose. In a statement released on social media this evening, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus, wondered why such rumour is being peddled when the autopsy result for the deceased persons is not yet out. According to her, it is only the autopsy result of Davido's friend and Caroline Danjuma's man, Tagbo Umeike, that is out and that it would be made public at the appropriate time. Read what she wrote below...
"But why all these rumours that Olu Abiodun and Chime Amaechi died of drug overdose? The commissioner of Police Lagos State command CP Imohimi Edgar never revealed that the two friends died as a result of overdose! The command is awaiting the result of the autopsy and investigation is ongoing! Let's avoid peddling stories that are not confirmed especially when people have lost their lives. Only Tagbo’s autopsy just returned. It will be made public at appropriate time if need be. #policeawaitsautopsy #waitforreport".
