"I don't enjoy being single, it's not something I wanted": Angelina Jolie opens up in new interview

Angelina Jolie recently had an interview to promote her new movie 'First They Killed My Father' and she made some revelations.
Speaking to Telegraph in a Beverly Hills hotel suite, the actress revealed what her life has been like since separating and filing for divorce from Brad Pitt last September.
She said: "This is the first time I have done this for a long time. It’s not easy. I am a little shy this time, because I am not as strong inside as I have been in the past."
On being a single mother-of-six, Jolie said: "I don’t enjoy being single. It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard. Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together, but really I am just trying to get through my days."
Asides handling her divorce, the 42-year-old has had to deal with what she described to The Telegraph as "some other health issues."
She said: "So my health is something I have to monitor."
Jolie underwent a preventative double mastectomy four years ago and later had her ovaries removed. Earlier, she opened up to Vanity Fair about her recent struggles with hypertension and Bell’s palsy, which caused one side of her face to droop. She used acupuncture to manage her condition, but says that perspective has been the best medicine.
Jolie told The Telegraph: "So much in life you just focus on how much worse it could be. And I am so happy I don’t have cancer, and that if I do get it, it will be delayed for a few years. The exchange for that peace of mind is quite good. I feel sometimes that my body has taken a hit, but I try to laugh as much as possible."
She explained that she's had to be strong because of her kids who keep her looking for the silver lining.
"We tend to get so stressed that our children feel our stress when they need to feel our joy. Even if you are going through chemo, you need to find the ability to love and laugh. It may sound like a postcard, but it’s true."
She continued: "The children have been amazing. It’s been so moving to see how much they have helped each other and how much they have helped me. They have really come into their own and they are finding themselves and their voices. I know that they will have each other for life and it gives me great peace to know the day I pass away that they will take care of each other."
As her kids continue to grow, Jolie believes it may be time for her to "rediscover a little bit of the old me."
"I think we lose our way a bit. I have had a lot happen in my life, from certain people passing to health issues to raising the children," she said. "And it’s been a very good time to absorb and develop and grow. But maybe now that my kids are growing up I am starting to realize that my own sense of play has been put on hold for a while. And maybe them hitting their teens is going to bring out a little more fun in mom."

French mag ordered to pay Duke & Duchess £92,000 in damages for publishing topless photographs of Kate Middleton

French celebrity magazine, Closer has been ordered to pay £92,000 in damages to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for publishing topless photos of Kate Middleton.
The case dated back to September 2012 when William and Kate were pictured relaxing on the terrace of a chateau belonging to the Earl of Snowdon, William’s cousin and the late Princess Margaret’s son, in the southern region of Provence.
According to reports, long-lense cameras caught Kate displaying her breasts while only wearing a skimpy pair of bikini bottoms. One intimate picture also published showed William rubbing suncream into his wife’s skin.
It was also reported that the angry couple considered £1.4million from French Closer magazine appropriate compensation for the upset and embarrassment caused by the photographs being distributed around the world.
They also want the equivalent of £42,000 from the local newspaper La Provence, which first published pictures of the Duchess in her swimwear five years ago today.
But after five years of legal proceedings, judges in Nanterre, the western suburb of Paris, ordered the Closer magazine today to pay the majority of the £92,000 damages while six the defendants were in the dock.
Its editor, 51-year-old Laurence Piea, and Ernest Mauria, 71, the director of the Mondadori group which publishes Closer, were fined £42,000 (€45,000 euros) each. Both of whom could have been jailed for up to a year, but retained their freedom.
The fine is said to be one of the highest ever in a privacy case in France
Although, none of the Royals attended the court sessions over the years, but William earlier presented statements criticizing the paparazzi for the offensive gesture.
In one written in May, he said the impact of the topless photographs were ‘all the more painful’ given the harassment linked to the death of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
Agency photographers Cyril Moreau, 32, and Dominique Jacovides, 59, and Valerie Suau, 53, of La Provence, were accused of invading privacy and complicity
The sixth defendant was Marc Auburtin, the 57-year-old publishing director of La Provence at the time the pictures were taken.

Dr. Solomon Yusuf who is one of the four University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) lecturers abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Magumeri, Borno State on July 25th in Borno state, has written a letter to his wife, Hannatu, lamenting the failure of Federal Government to ensure their release from Boko Haram captivity.

The lecturer's lamentation was contained in a letter from captivity sent to his wife, Hannatu which was obtained by SaharaReporters. Part of the letter reads
"I want to emphasize that delay in getting our freedom poses risk to our dear lives. We never expected we would spend over 42 days (as at 4 September) in captivity because the project has presidential orders to explore hydrocarbon in the Chad BasinThe government should please continue negotiating with the present contact given to them by the University of Maiduguri as a means of contacting soldiers of Khalifa under the leadership of Abu Mus'ab Albarnawi. We plead with the government to treat our freedom with all sense of urgency and sympathy so that that we can be reunited with our families. The use of force is a serious threat to our lives," he pleaded.

"We're two people who are really happy and in love" - Meghan Markle speaks about her relationship with Prince Harry for the first time

Meghan Markle is speaking out on her relationship with Prince Harry for the first time. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Meghan said that she and the British royal are "really happy and in love."
The Suits actress, who graces the cover of the society magazine's October issue, has never spoken publicly about her affair with the fifth-in-line to the throne - until now. She confirmed during the interview that Harry is indeed her boyfriend.
Meghan said she and Harry, 32, intend to continue to keep their relationship private and away from the spotlight. When asked how she felt about the media frenzy that erupted after their relationship was revealed last year, she said that Harry has been helping her navigate the fervent press interest in her since they began dating.
Markle said: "It has its challenges, and it comes in waves—some days it can feel more challenging than others. And right out of the gate it was surprising the way things changed. But I still have this support system all around me, and, of course, my boyfriend’s support.
"I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love."
Markle added of the relationship: "We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship."
Meghan, 36, said she hopes people will allow her and Harry the time to develop as a couple outside the public spotlight.:
"We’re a couple. We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
"This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story."
Meghan also divulged that she tries not to read stories about herself in the press and on social media, saying: "The people who are close to me anchor me in knowing who I am. The rest is noise."
Harry and Markle have been the subject of persistent engagement rumors. If they are to become engaged, Markle might be expected to play a role in royal public life, like Kate Middleton.

"A lot of my friends are Igbo people. My first wife is from Calabar"- President of Arewa Youth who issued quit notice to Igbo residents in the north

Shetima Yerima, President of Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF), who issued a quit notice to Igbo residents in the north said that he has nothing against the Igbo.
"A lot of my friends are Igbo people. I have nothing against the Igbo,” The Sun quoted him as saying.
“It did not end there; let me also demonstrate that to you; my first wife is from Calabar, the old south-eastern region. We have two kids. I have a good relationship with the Igbo.”
Yerima, who reiterated that the quit notice belongs to the past, as the objective has been achieved, also urged relevant authorities not to overlook anyone who violates the suspension of the quit notice.
Regarding Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who has rejected the suspension of the quit notice, Yerima said he was not speaking for the majority of Igbos.
“Did I do it for him or in the interest of the country? His rejection of the suspension of the quit notice is not important to me,” he said.
“What we did was to demonstrate that we have a culture. We give respect to our elders and it was to ensure that the country remains together. The country is above anybody. On that basis, his acceptance or not is not important but I know that he also is not speaking for the Igbo. It is a minority view of few people making all sorts of noise.
“It is not really important to me and I do not want to join issues with them. Nigeria is above everybody and I stand on the path of one united country. We have to build a nation that we can call our own.”
When asked about some other northern youth would who have ignored the withdrawal, he said:
“Nobody would do anything. Anybody who does anything, we make sure that the authorities arrest the person. We are in charge.
“Nobody should be scared of anything. Our youths are reasonable; they are known to respect one another; we listen to our leaders unlike some other parts of the country. But having said that, you can be rest assured that there is no cause for alarm.
“So, let Nigerians be rest assured that nothing would befall anybody by God’s grace and we are working towards that and we would give the government the maximum support. Our brothers across board, we would make sure that no evil would befall them. That is the position of things.”

'I have been cheated on publicly, I never saw women come out to say what he did was wrong' - Toke Makinwa says

In a recent edition of Moments girl talk, media personality Toke Makinwa, her co-hosts Bolanle and Tallula and guests, singers Toni Tones and Peeshuan, deliberated on a very interesting topic, Why Men Cheat. During the discussion, Toke said in her opinion, she feels that all men cheat and that in Africa, cheating is celebrated instead of it to be rebuked.

The media personality who got separated from her estranged husband, Maje Ayida, after he got his side chic, Anita Solomon pregnant in 2015, said men who are not even cheating have been pressured to have flings outside their committed relationships.
Speaking further, Toke opined that women are the cause of cheating because you find mothers who know that their sons have five girlfriends welcoming all of them without cautioning them.
"Some women are the problem. Your son has four, five girlfriends. You know them, you smile in their faces. We live in a society and the culture that we have unfortunately believes that cheating is....you can't sue a man for cheating in this country.
"If the man is selling and we are not buying, he would stop. We, women, are the problem. You find a man cheat on his wife cheat on his wife and you find reasons to make excuses for why he cheated. Maybe she wasn't sleeping with him, Maybe she wasn't unhappy, maybe she is a witch. I have had that been said to me. I have been cheated on publicly and I never saw women come out to say you know what, what this man did was wrong. You find them say is she the only one? What's the big deal? Guess what, your child would go through it"
She also stated that cheating would be reduced if women shame their friends who date married men.
